Industrial composting facility
Compost that is picked up through this system is then handled by an industrial composting company – meaning they can accept more materials than a traditional backyard composting setup. This includes materials such as raw meats and dairy (which can contaminate traditional compost), as well as certified compostable plastics!
Rates
As of July 2021, composting pickup by Uribe Refuse is $15 for standalone service, and $8 when paired with recycling and/or garbage pickup. When you sign up for service, you will be provided with a pickup container and a countertop compost bin at no cost.
